Game Cryer: Quality Game Reviews

Saturday, January 3rd, 2009

A few months ago, I asked about game reviews and whose opinions you trusted.

Based on the feedback I received here, and other venues, I compiled a list of names – people considered to be the best. I approached each of them and asked if they would like to be a part of a new site that focused on quality game reviews. Many of them agreed.

Are you interested in quality game reviews? Come to Game Cryer (Game Cryer.com).

Current list of contributors:
– Gerald Cameron
– Dave Chalker
– Brian T. Clements
– Michael Erb
– Chris Gath
– Mark Gedak
– Ken Newquist
– Pookie
– Allan Sugarbaker
– Andy Vetromile

Up first? Gerald Cameron reviews Draconomicon I: Chromatic Dragons.

Game Reviewers: Name Names

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

Do you read reviews? Do you recognize any particular people as quality reviewers – people who, when they write an opinion you can rely on it as thoughtful and accurate?

Give me a couple names. I’d like to meet some of these people.

Bowling for Business

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

I’ve got a meeting with a prospective client tonight. We’re going bowling! The last time I was in a bowling alley was two years ago. Wish me luck!

In the meantime, if any of you have heard of Haemimont Games, or played any of their titles, I’d love your feedback. Their most recent titles include Glory of the Roman Empire and Celtic Kings.

UPDATE: These guys are very cool. I can’t wait to do business with them.
